While some businesses are closing their doors, payday loan stores are thriving in these tough economic times. People are using the fast cash approach to pay bills, buy food, even make their house payment.

Payday advance loans companies Eyewitness News talked to say business has picked up and while they didn't want to talk on camera, they say their loans do help if you follow the rules.

Some states have outlawed payday loan business. Johnson feels more needs to be done in Nevada to stop lenders from taking advantage of desperate people.
